Viking Tactics sling question

I have decided to get a viking tactics 2 point adjustable sling. Should I get the original one or the wide padded one? The wide padded one is $6 dollars more. I'm leaning towards the wide padded one even though my gun is light. My gun only weighs around 6 pounds (Ar 15, Colt 6920). Anyone have experience with these slings?

guess it depends on how long you intend to wear it, and what else you're wearing. obviously, the longer you wear it, the more you'll appreciate padding, and the more crap you have on (e.g. armor, molle, pouches) the less you'll want padding snagging on the aforementioned crap
