So my wife wanted to go to the weekly flea market in Dickson City PA this morning, to find summer clothes for our newest grandson. It's about an hours drive, but what the heck we do stuff like that all the time. We entered, after parking her Sante Fe, the number of vendors was lighter than usual, bit started at the bottom row it only had a couple vendors, but saw what looked like an all steel scope tube, at the same time my wife spotted baby clothes, good I can check it out. Low and behold it's a vintage Weaver V9. Power ring turns, so adjusts for clarity, thin wire rectical in tact, has its steel turret caps, but shows signs of use, rust spots under the ring marks, a few scratches and a small section of the eyebell threads missing. I bought it despite some condition issues, i don't even have a rifle to mount it on to test it out, but realized that a lot of shooters want vintage optics for their vintage rifles cause it finishes them, looks right and is period correct.
