Well i was storing some ammo in a leather pouch, and checked some it. A few rounds seem to have developed a touch of virdigris on them. Essentially a few spots no larger than maybe a quarter of an inch long by .1 inches at the widest on a cases, and a few bullets have a few small dots.

I used a rag with KG-12 to wipe them off, and the cases and bullets are all shiny again. No etching etc, seems to have been superficial.

So is their a risk in shooting this ammo or should I toss it? All 8x60S cartridges, about 15 in all.

Your good to go if it came off that easily and shows no sign of etching. That's where nickle plated cases come in handy.

My K9 p's all the time too...

However KG-12 is an excellent copper solvent, look it up.
Lesson learned, do not store ammo in leather pouches.
