On the way to my mother-in -law's home in Spokane I like to take a stop at the Buck Knife factory in Post Falls, Idaho just down the road.
I haven't yet takene was a tour but that is definitely on my to-do list. But they have a store there where they display all their different knives and
have them for sale. They have a 50% discount on blems ( the blemishes are near impossible to detect) and then a discount for LEO's and vets that
can be up to 50%. In the past I have picked up several Buck 110s, a few of them were auto knives. A Buck 110 auto is one nice tool!
My most recent purchases:

That large knife is one beautiful piece of steel. It has a 6.5" blade. It was a blem that normally sells for about $225. I don't know that I would carry it
but I couldn't let it stay there. The second knife was actually made for Cabelas. As it was a blem so they scrubbed the Cabelas logo off. Fine with me. I
picked up a similar knife before that was stainless.

All of Bucks pin knife or jack knife styles that we all grew up with are made elsewhere in Asia. But they do make a pocket knife in the style of the Buck 110 series
at the factory. Next trip I am gonna have to score a couple of those.
If you are ever in north Idaho or Spokane area the Buck Knife factory would make a great side trip.

I really wanted to stop when I drove through Post Falls a couple of years ago, but I happened to be going through there late on a Sunday afternoon.

Nice score!
A few years back the wife and I were on vacation in Tennessee and we stopped at Smokey Mountain knife works. I had my heart set on getting a CRKT Dosier and I found one, but after see it and handling it I walked away. The next day in Cherokee NC I found this knife made by a local Cherokee Indian. I like it a lot more than the dosier. 20240406_074829.jpg

They're made in California by a knife making family. A great example of handmade knives sold all over the country, but not made in Cherokee or by Cherokee.
My bad, that was the story told me by the guy behind the counter.
