I will be posting this in the Rallying Point forum as well, but with short notice, I wanted to hit anyone who might have a shot, and I didn't learn of this myself until this evening on the way home.

Tomorrow, Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, the president of Buck Knives will be at Cabela's in Post Falls, Idaho. This is right down the road from Spokane, WA and Coeur d'Alene, ID.

He will, as I understand it, be signing (engraving) Buck knives brought to him while he's there.

Not surprisingly, Cabela's is having a sale on a number of specific Buck knives.

Now, it's not, in and of itself, a big deal, but I've had a Buck 112 Ranger in my possession since early this year that I brought up here from Carson City. It belongs to the guy who did our home remodel down there. As we packed the last of our stuff, I said, "hey, why don't you give me that old Buck? I'll get it signed and send it back to you."

Sure. So, what is the favorite pastime of company presidents interested in promoting sales of their product lines? Uh, that would be TRAVELING.

Dude is never in town.

But he is this weekend. And he'll be at Cabela's from 10:00 am to sometime in the afternoon, both days.

So, if you're a Buck Knives fan, and you're in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area, and you wanna save a buck or two (heh) on a few patterns, perhaps I'll see you in the signing line.

I've got a few that got missed the last two times he was there. And I might want to pick up a Mayo Hilo and/or Cutback while I'm there. Hey, $10 bucks for a $40 knife? Or $25 for a $70 knife?

Shucks, why not?
