Looking for some feedback from users that used one or both. I'm considering getting one of them (due to budget constraints).

PK-23

1 MOA Dot
Manufactured in Russia
8 brightness settings including a 8Hz pulsating dot to attract the eye
Rheostat brightness adjustment
Uses standard D-357 watch batteries
States a 50-hour battery life, but as with the Kobra, their 50 hour battery life, in stress tests, turned into 300+ at maximum brightness.

VS

Vortex SPARC

2 MOA Dot
10 brightness settings plus 2 NV settings
Made in China
Potentially quicker push-button brightness adjustment
Uses more rare CR2354 batteries
Stated 120-Hour battery life at Max Brightness with up to a 5000-hour battery life on lowest NV setting. Expect a 300+ hour run time at normal brightness. 6-hour auto shut-off.
2x screw in magnifier included.

The Pk-23 seems like the more durable and conventional choice (rheostat brightness control, made in a Russian optics factory), but the SPARC has that nice 2x magnifier to extend reach, and a potentially faster to operate push-button (similar to EOtech) system, but "Made in China" gives me pause.

For what its worth, Vortex has exceptional customer service and will make it right no matter what. Go to ar15.com and check out their forum in the Industry section. They have a great reputation for taking care of issues.
