No, it does not. It recognizes it. The 2A doesn't 'give' any right, just like the rest of the BoR it merely 'recognizes' these rights that are inherent to all people.

Exactly! The 2ndA is a legal acknowledgement of The basic right to self defense. It does not grant anything, but rather provides a deterrent to laws and regulations designed to remove or restrict that right.
 
voted. Remember: The mainstream media refuses to acknowledge the existance of God, therefore they don't believe the right to protect one's self is given to every living thing by Him. So in their mind, the right is given by the Constitution (or not given by it).

Just Vote "Yes" to make them feel dumb. We can debate the theology with them after NY gets their guns.
