I am looking at getting a Vulcan V-94. It is a MP5/HK imitation. Does anyone know anything about these guns? Is it any good? Any problems with it? Any information on it will help. Thanks

+1. Anything related to Todd Bailey is complete garbage, and best avioded. He's infamous for putting out horrible quality guns, making people wait, ripping off customers, and creating new companies left and right when the current one fails.

Ha, usually when a judgment about a gun is asked for, the responses are all positive or mixed. Vulcan's are the only gun I've never heard anything good about on this board. I guess you ought to stay away.

(Clarification: I've never owned one. Just commenting on the overwhelming negative response Vulcan usually gets)

I have never owned a vulcan but i have never read anything positive about them either.

Based on the reviews they get I would not ever consider buying one.

Have any of you bashing Todd Bailey ever actually dealt with him, or talked to him?? Well, I have. He's a straight up guy, and I think it's pathetic how many internet posters just jump on the train and blackball this guy for no reason OTHER THAN WHAT THEY'VE HEARD FROM A FEW OTHERS.

I'm not trying to flame, or point any negative fingers. If TB has wronged you personally, then that's your business and you're right to express it. As for myself, he's been nothing but helpful to me....and I own a SW-5.

As for the original post:

To my understanding, Vulcan (Hesse) is nothing more than a "look-alike". It uses blowback, not roller lock like the real HK. I'd get any of the other clones (Bobcat, Vector, Cohaire, Special Weapons).

volfandan: Not flaming you back either and I'm truly glad you've had good experiences with Mr. Bailey, but his reputation is not completely undeserved. This was just a simple search under "tod bailey special weapons". I'm certain if you word it differently, the results may be even more impressive. If one takes half of what is read out there as total BS - heck I'll even give you 75%, the the remainder is pretty disturbing...

+1 TO RUN AWAY!

Vulcan is not related to any of Todd Bailey's companies but they used to be known as Hesse Arms who was famous for terrible work.

Don't waste your money on it. You'll regret it.

A Beretta CX4 storm or a Kel-Tec Sub2000 are much better choices if you want a 9mm carbine that has consistent parts support.
