My mother got this at the same time I was willed my grandfathers Savage 110. She has loved this double barrel since she was a kid in the 50's. She actually cried when it was given to her, it was the first gun she ever shot with my grandpa. The bluing is worn and I'm thinking of getting it refinished for her for Christmas. The gun has little value, around $300 top to $100 on the low end so a refinish won't hurt the little value it has. I have also gathered that it was made by Crescent Davis for W. Bingham Co. if that is helpful.

The bluing isn't my problem, the buttstock is. It has 2 rather large cracks and needs to be replaced. It looks like this gun, 4th from the top:

Does anybody know where I can get a new stock? If not what about a stock for another manufacturer that is close enough to fit. I've searched on here and the net but I've come up short unfortunately. I can do some minor fitting if need be. I could probably make a new stock but It might take me until after Christmas. I would really like to bring a little piece of her childhood back. As always thank you for your help!

The stock cracks can be fixed by any competent gunsmith.

That to me would be far & away better then cobbling together some other old stock that isn't original to the gun.

H&D Folsum Arms Co + Davis-Warner Arms Corp = Crescent-Davis Arms Corp. It's either H&D Folsom Arms Co. or Stevens Arms Co product. The Stevens Arms Co. bought the Crescent-Davis Arms ca. 1932.
