Where can you go to target shoot i the woods? I live in Tacoma and have gone one time out on the logging roads near Greenwater. I've heard that might not have been legal and would like to know where I can legally go to touch off a few hundred rounds. I need a break from silhoutte shooting and would like a chance to get some excercise outside.

Bullseye in Tacoma has a range. Or you can join the Gig Harbor sportsmans club. Nice folks at both places. Good range at both places. good supplies and great company. Come hang out for a while.

There's also Range 15 on Fort Lewis. Open 10-4 on weekends. $5 for civilians. Rifles and pistols, rifle out to 300m.

Take SR 507 to East Gate Road. Turn right, go about 4 miles. Range will be on your right. If you get to the gate, you've gone too far.

as far as greenwater goes.....

74 is still closed due to the road having washed out in the winter. but there is still 70, 71, 72, 75 and PLENTY of places to shoot. I havent had a problem finding places to shoot at all, never.

That thread is the most complete list I know of on THIS site. I'd suggest going to the WAC show in Puyallup and asking to go shoot with some people. Some will blow you off, maybe some will help you out.
