I own two singleshot 12 gauge scatterguns and was wondering if my full choke FIE can like a wad again? For example, I might pattern 5 different names of buckshot, all sizes and get maybe one that shoots better with a wad, the wadless ones seem to hold a better pattern with the full choke FIE. Wanting a 50 yard pattern . My other one is an H&R modified choke 12 gauge, it definately patterns better using various wadded buck but hates the wadless. Anyway, help me on the full choke wad issue, pretty please, someone?

You mean shot cup & yes full chock & no shot cup should shoot about like modified with shot cup !

Ive noticed that as well, must be the wad(shotcup) is getting some friction through the full choke. One thing I have noticed also is the lead buckshot seems to pattern just as well as the copperplated in all of my shotguns. Maybe it's just my shotguns and a different one may have a noticeable variance.

I really appreciate the advise regarding a needed recoil pad. I have threw away money on recoil pads trying first to buy the cheapest ones and then buying a better one(limbsaver)but the limbsaver is too big for my buttstock and I ended up getting a cheap Allen's slip-on it was the best cheap one ive ever tried out of at least 4 others.

No shogun barrel patterns the same .
Not to try to get into something different but how often are shotguns not centered, throwing maybe left or right patterns? Maybe a good word for it is POA. I'd like to know if barrel fouling could do this?

Here is a picture of buckshot I am trying out. left to right: S&B(1 bk), Fiocchi (4 bk, 00 bk), Wichester 3in. Super X(1 bk, 00 bk).

It is kind of hard to get fouling in a barrel that has nothing for fouling to hold on to. ie; No riflings !

My shotguns tend to get alot of hard/to/remove gunk when I shoot rifled slugs. Now I understand why I/C or less chokes are at least less fouled up down the hatch, hehe.
