My Local Wal Marts are limiting ammo Purchases to 3 Boxes a Day ,Not sure if its National but thats the plan in Southern OHIO..Guess you'll get ID check to make sure you don't come back later that day...

It was announced nationally a week or so ago. Primarily due to the shortage I believe.

I don't think 3 boxes is the right number but I kind of agree that this should be a temporary measure so folks can get their hands on a few boxes instead of a few guys buying every case at once (not that that's wrong, but a revolution isn't won by 1 man). :D

I'm in favor of limiting ammo. Otherwise the hoarders would stalk tbe place day and night to snap up every shipment. Hoarders ..and the occasional dealer as well.

It's a 3 box limit at several of the Wally Worlds around here. Shouldn't be much of a problem though since they don't have any ammo.

My local Walmart stocks ammo. They stock a few different types of 223/5.56 ammo. I've never been able to buy any from them because it's always sold out as soon as it is in stock.

NYH1.

I had the good fortune of being tipped off by a friend that the local WM had .223 in stock this morning, specifically 100-round boxes of American Eagle. A three box limit wasn't a huge problem in that particular case, but my previous WM stop had only resulted in a whopping 60 rounds of Tula due to the limit.

yup saw the sign today at the ammo display area. no .22LR, no 223/5.56, no .38 special, no 357 mag, no 9mm. They did have some .45 but that was about it.
