1. Chisel emergency exit through aircraft skin.
2. Open packages or survival equipment.
3. Strike a match.
4. Use as a screwdriver.
5. Use as a wrench.
6. Use as a can opener.
7. Use as a bottle opener.
8. Drive a nail or needle.
9. Pry out nails or staples.
10. Strip insulation from wire.
11. Split or chisel wood into snares or tools.
12. Dig for water or make solar still.
13. Use as compass.
14. Use as signal mirror.
15. Lash to stick and use as hatchet or machete.
16. Make shavings for fire tinder.
17. Chisel hole in gas tank or oil pan for fuel.
18. Cut sheet metal from wreckage to make pots or pans.
19. Make fish hook from wire, nail, or pin.
20. Remove .22 bullet for fishing sinker or starting fire.
21. Use as fishing lure.
22. Gut and scale fish.
23. Pry open shellfish.
24. Open coconut or other food.
25. Cut through rib cage of big game.
26. Cut food into small bits for cooking.
27. Skin an animal.
28. Cut clothing for bandages.
29. Snake bite first-aid or other emergency surgery.
30. Straighten fish hook for sewing needle.
31. Make rope or cord from animal or plant fibers.
32. Leather punch.
33. Make shoes from tire, briefcase, etc.
34. Inspect face for frostbite or particles in eye.
35. Dig recess for shoulder and hip in ground for bedding.
36. Dig into hard snow for shelter.
