Not sure if this is the correct forum so feel free to move the post.
I was in Wallyworld today and had to pick up a couple of boxes of ammo so i headed to the sporting goods section As I walked up I noticed that the long gun cases were both completely empty. I asked the department manager if they had had a rush on firearms and was a bit surprised at his answer.
Apparently a store located about 30 miles away was robbed last night and one of the things that was taken was a gun. Since it has the same district manager they have been instructed that all firearms must be removed from the cases at night and stored in the back until the next morning. He told me that they were way too busy to move the guns, probably a total of 30-40 at the max, so the case would be empty until they had the time.
I guess they get scared when the Feds get involved?
