Walmart

The Walmart here is close to our home. The staff there are rude. It took them over 20 minutes to get someone to open the damn ammo case. Then the customer service person thought we should bow down to her and tell her what a pleasure it was for her to wait on us.

WalMart is not a gun shop.

WalMart degrades the neighborhood and takes jobs out of the community.

And this marks the downward spiral of this thread. I honestly can't believe people think this way.

I wpork at Walmart, and enjoy my job, so I am a tad biased. That being said, I buy the 100 pack of federal #8 shotshells every year for dove season. No complaints here! Well, other that the fact that I shoot 100 times a season at doves, and usually bag about 20 birds. LOL!

I don't know about you guys, but seriously, when it comes down to saving $10+ per box on a 100 pack of say 9mm vs ordering online, yeah Wal-Mart gets my business.

Playing devils advocate though, anyone remember back when Wal-Mart proudly advertised 'Made in USA'?

PS please tell me where I can get 1440 rounds of 9mm for $160

Right. Those are volunteers working there. Either that, or they don't have jobs. Or maybe they are not people after all.

If THR members knew half as much about economics as they do about .45ACP vs. 9mm ballistics then maybe these threads would not fall apart like this.

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or...anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

I still prefer ordering in bulk online. I paid about $160 for 1440 rounds of 9mm, perfect for target practice.

1440 of 9mm for $160? Where and when? Was this recent? Dish, brother! That's cheaper than my cast boolit reloads!

I second the motion!
Details please, where as well as quality

Can anyone guess why I am tagging this thread?

John Wayne:
As for the video taping part, what major commercial retailer doesn't video tape everything as soon as you walk in the door?

Sorry, should've been more specific. They video tape the purchases and stick them all in a database alongside Mayors Against Illegal Guns (Daley).

Here's the thread:

Read it if you're interested, some interesting things they're doing with it.

Not saying everyone should be against it, I was just showing there are other reasons than China to dislike Wal-Mart. Their ammo prices are the best around by far but I reload EVERY caliber I shoot.

YMMV

I don't see how quoting Barak Obama has anything whatsoever to do with my suggestion about being economically uninformed.

I hope you are not trying to imply that one who understands economics will naturally support Democrats...

I just purchased some Remington UMC 9mm for $8.99 a box from Dick's. I find that they regularly have the cheapest target ammo around, cheaper than Wal-Mart
