I was just given a nice shape Walther Model 8 with the stock mag but it is missing the recoil spring. Can anyone point me to a source for them?

thanks!

And a tutorial on take down would be nice!

thanks again all.

That's an easy one! Wolff Gunsprings www.gunsprings.com has the recoil spring for the Walther Model 8. It will cost you $7.89.

I have a Model 4, a close cousin to your Model 8. There are folks at the Walther Forum who can offer more, and one particularly knowlegeable guy who goes by searcher451 who also belongs here.

Thanks! I looked at the Wolf website but they listed nothing for the model 8 so Ill go look again as I probably missed something. I think I figured out how to take it down but want to be shown or told to make sure I don't break anything.

thanks again.

Kevin

It's definitely there along with mag springs. I'll probably pick up a recoil spring for my Model 4 as it might be orginal and nearing 100 years old. I'll look for takedown info on the 8 but I think it's the same as the 4.

Check with Randall Bessler at Collector Firearms:

PO Box 2248
Carson City, NV 89702-2248
Phone: (775) 885-0717
Website: Collectorfirearms.org

He's got a mountain of Walther Modell 8 parts in stock. He's also a good guy to deal with.
