Walther P1 white dot sights

Will the white dot sights, the later version of front and rear sights for the Walther P1, readly fit on earlier models of the P1 which had the narrow black sights? The later version sights are wider but I do not know if they will drop into the sight slots for the older versions of the black sights.

I believe the dovetail cuts are the same, but a word of caution- the P1 front sight is extremely tight fitting and only presses out in one direction. I highly recommend you use a sight press tool with the correct adapter for front sight removal on this gun. Also, the front sights come in several different heights and are numbered. Make sure you know how high/low the gun shoots so you can order the correct sight blade.
