Does anyone have any experiences with the Walther TPH? I understand that they were manufactured in Germany and the USA in .22 and .25acp, Are they reliable?

I had one several years ago, a stainless model .22 from Interarms. What a gem! I had to put it down the road for financial reasons but I wish I still had it.

Mine was very accurate, but ammo sensitive. It would shoot CCI Stingers all day long without a hitch, but change to Yellowjackets and it wouldn't make it through a full magazine without a jam. Not a problem for me since I only used Stingers after figuring that out. Never had another jam. :D

It would keep all shots in 3 inches or less at fifty feet from a rest, much less if I did my part. I see the little things are REALLY expensive now. Geez, I'll probably never get to replace it. :(

If you get one, KEEP IT! I'd give it two thumbs up! Speaking of thumbs, though, I do recall that one friend that tried it had trouble with the slide hitting his thumb knuckle. I never had that problem but my hands are not very big(I take an 8 glove) and the slide never touched me. Something to consider if you have big hands.

Hope this helps.

I have one. Its an American stainless steel 0.22. It took three trips back to Interarms to get it right but now its absolutely problem free. My understanding is that the German ones are of higher quality but I have no complaints. It does like Stingers.

S&W is suppose to be doing the warrantee work now and I read somewhere that they are going to be introducing a titanium version sometime. I will get one of those. The TPH has sights that actually work on this accurate pistol. Nothing I know of will conceal like this pistol. Get one, plan on sending it back to the factory a couple of times and then just enjoy it.

A local shop has one in .22 for sale. I'm sure I'll be in there soon, maybe tomorrow. I can get a price check for you if you want. They normally don't have the greatest prices, though, it is a pretty small scale shop.

I have a stainless (Interams) TPH in .22LR and its been a solid performer for me. I got mine used, so I don't know how many rounds have been fired, though it didn't appear to have seen more than 500-1000 when I bought it, and has only had about 1500 since.
