This has probably been asked a bunch, but I can not find the thread or discussion.

I have a Dan Wesson 1911 with factory trigger pull. I think it is about 3 lbs and it sure is nice. Short and crisp. No wonder the 1911 is so populare. Everytime I go to the range I end up taking it for target work even though the .45 ammo is a bit steep in $$

What other pistols would be similar in shape and size (1911'ish) with a nice crisp trigger and accurate but in 9mm ?? I prefer an adjustable rear sight. I think Springfeild has one (5-6 lb pull) but are there any others?

I have a xd 9mm and 92FS and both are great, but just don't have the same trigger. My Mark III target pistol, with a VQ sear is good, but would like something in 9mm.

Thanks.

Easy!

Just get an STI Trojan in 9mm. Can't go wrong! I purchased one recently. Ran flawless out of the box.

Hmm. The Trojan looks nice, a bit spendy, but nice.

Does the High Power have a long trigger pull?

Thanks guys.

I would say the STI Trojan 5.0 in 9mm would be the best option, but a CZ-75B SA would be close after it's either had a trigger job or has quite a few rounds through it.

I will likely be getting a STI 9mm so I have a 1911 format gun in my main caliber since I rarely put rounds through my 45s.

Any personal experiences with that one? I've been on the fence.

I've shot a used one, pretty nice trigger. Not 1911 nice, but pretty good.

Para Ordnance

PARA ORDNANCE offers several 1911 models in 9m.m. including a straight 1911 clone called the SSP which has a 4 1/4 Commander length barrel and slide. They also offer an 18 shot model, the P18-9 and a number of compact models, some have the single action trigger. Others have the LDA double action only trigger.

They are a high quality product.
