Nice, but will this be proposed/followed through by an actual congress critter?
When I'm having pleasant dreams in my sleep they do but then I always wake up to the nightmare of reality.

If you send it yours, sure.

I might send it to mine but I doubt because no other gun owners give a sh*t.

I am apparently the only one upset over the BATFE decision.

:(

I did leave a message about this to Larry Craig's office.

But that is all I have done.

I already wrote both of my senators yesterday with something similar:

Dear Senator Bennett,

Please support S. 397 - "Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act" without any anti-gun amendments attached to it such as a gun show ban or a trigger lock amendment. This is important legislation but it shouldn't pass with any such amendments.

Please do consider adding a pro-liberty amendment to this bill that will remove the unconstitutional sporting purposes clause that the ATF has recently used to ban the importation of firearm barrels as per their July 13th letter:

Sincerely,

Me

I think it's a great idea and would love to see it happen, but it never will. I'll continue to write them and stay a member of the NRA and GOA but my bad attitude is based on past experience.

LAR, again, a good bit of legalese to put in the bill. I promise you I would send it to my senators, but they are the two worst gun-banners in the Senate (honestly) so it wouldn't be worth the 37 cents it would cost me. Instead I'm going to work on getting them out of senate one of these years. Unfortunately they usually run with no opposition and win by wide margins.
