Now you can come to Norway and hunt seals.
There is an anual quota of 2100 seals, but hardly any are hunted.
So, now tourists can come to Norway for some adventure out by the coast.
I don't have a problem with hunting as long as the animal is used or it is to cull the herd as needed.
That being said I don't think I have it in me to kill any living thing unless I was either starving or in mortal danger. I am such a wuss.
Now I will happily accept venison donations.
One day I am going to try hunting. I may have to start with ducks though, because let's be honest ducks are really just fish with wings. I would have to work up to Bambi and there is no way I could plug a baby seal unless...............It was coming right for us!!!!
Once again, don't take this as anti hunting as I don't think hunting is wrong at all.
I want to hunt the Anarctic leopard Seal. But whatever works where do I sign up?
I've never hunted seals because I'm a white boy and only natives are allowed to hunt them in Alaska but I've watched them do it. It's alot more cahllenging than you may think. I find seal meat to be tolerable but definatley not on my top ten list.
I would however like to have a couple of seal skin soft cases made for my heavy rifles so I can take them to show and tell at the local PETA meetings, in style!!
If I remember , Inuit use things like the 222, 223 for head shots they don't want holes in the pelt.If the seal is in the water you have to hurry to get it before it sinks. Had the meat , it's not my favorite.
