The brass in question may have been fired in a full auto gun, or some other gun with a "generous" chamber to accomodate feeding. I've seen .45 brass bulged to the point of almost bursting from being fired full auto. I've also seen this in .45 brass that was fired in a Glock, or other guns with large chambers or unsupported chambers, especially if it was full power ammunition.
PMC has always produced brass that was among the thickest in .45 acp, so before condemning the brass, I'd like to know the history of it, and what it was fired in before you got it.
