So I had decided awhile back to get a P365 [when my gun store was able to get one in], but then later started hearing about the issues with broken triggers and firing pin tips [due to primer drag]. I was kinda bummed about it because I liked the idea of a 10 round magazine in such a small frame. I even went to a gun store where you could rent one and thought it shot pretty well. Not the greatest of groupings, but not bad. After hearing the issues, though, I scrapped the idea.
I decided to just get a G43. Found one on gunbroker for a killer deal [at least in my opinion],...A G43, unfired, Meprolight night sights [which I really like!], and a count of 6 magazines. Shipped and paperworked for $480.
After I won the auction, I ordered 2 of the Taran Tactical +1 baseplates, and a Taran Tactical connector. Installed the baseplates right when they came in. Love them. The connector, on the other hand, was not working. I really didn't notice any difference with the pull of the trigger [which really isn't bad...I'll get to that in a bit], but several times doing the rack/dry fire thing, it would not reset the trigger. It's going back to the seller!
Anyway, I took it to the range yesterday and was pretty happy with the way it shot. Trigger feel is pretty much typical Glock [not my favorite at all], but was able to get at least a "smaller than fist" grouping initially, then with a last 5 shot grouping about an 1 1/2 inch [all at 7 yards]. Very happy with that considering the size of the gun and the Glock trigger thing. So I am happy with my choice of carry gun. OH,....no firing pin drag.
One question about the G43,.....what's the small half circle cutout on the back of the slide?
