This question is two fold. One, I heard a blip on the news, early after shooting, that one of the men that tackled the shooter had a CCW. Did anyone else hear this?
Secondly, if there was, why did they not use there weapon? and putting youself in that position how do you think as a CCW, you might have reacted?
My first thought was, I would have drawn and fired, but then thinking how the scene may have developed, I saw some problems.
One, would be shock. It would have happened so fast, and without proper training, would I have drawn or hit the ground?
Second, if I did draw, would I shoot, or be cautious, being afraid of shooting an innoscent bystander? Well I don't for sure what I would have done, but thinking situations like this through may be good exercise. What are your thoughts?
