Hi fellas,
Brought and old 12 guage to a smith a couple of weeks ago to get the barrel cut to 18.5 and a bead added (I know, I know... I just wanted the bead).
Anyway, I picked it up today. The cut is perfection and he cold blued the cut. Real nice job. Smooth.
As I was examining it, I was running my finger around the inside of the barell and felt "something."
He drilled all the way through the barrel to install the bead. I can see the base of the bead through the hole. It is flush to the barrel. It does not protrude in the least.
Is this the way it's done?
Thanks,
Mick
