I recently bought a wasr rifle (7.62 x 39 double stack) and when cleaning it noticed that the gas piston has a noticable curve to it. Is this normal? A problem?
Thanks.
it shouldnt have a curve, but it should have "wiggle room" that being the piston should seem loose and wiggly to able to adjust its selfs to pop into the gas port.
wasrs are really a "it aint supposed to be like that... but it works" gun
Curved?! Can you post a picture. Do you mean canted(pointing to one direction)? If that is the case, it is a common problem on WASRs and an easy fix. WASRs are great guns for the money.
