I've tried searching for existing threads on this topic, but didn't come up with much.
I received a Thumler's Tumbler Model B for Christmas. My intention is to retire my conventional Frankford Arsenal tumbler and use the Thumler to go to a water based method. My primary reason is to reduce any lead exposure from dry media.
Can you please outline your methods and secret recipes that you use in cleaning your brass? Do you use any sort of ceramic media?
Also, currently I deprime my cases on the press as part of the reloading process, and I would like to not deprime the cases prior to cleaning. Is this possible? Or will I have water issues in my powder? One thought I have is to get a junker toaster oven to dry my brass. I am aware of temperature/annealing issues in doing this. I will keep the temperature low.
Thanks!
