Howdy folks,
I have a pretty little blued K-22 revolver, and was thinking about shining up the finish with some Renaissance Wax or non-abrasive carnauba auto wax.
How will the wax and normal maintenance oil work together?
Do I need to degrease the exterior of the gun before applying the wax?
If I wipe the waxed surface with an oily rag after shooting, will the oil cloud or otherwise disturb the wax finish?
If I change my mind, can the wax be removed with normal degreasing methods (that won't harm the blue)?
Sorry if these are foolish questions; just wanted my ducks in a row before playing with my baby's finish.
Thanks all,
Rick
