In the "peace" rallies I have actually witnessed, these protestors tend to be the violent ones. Those who are out there just trying to support the troops, or support the United States, run the risk of physical and verbal attack, even though the pro-military supporters are quite peaceful. I had this discussion with a fellow at work today. He stated that these people did not represent the peace movement. I informed him that, if that were the case, then his movement had been hijacked, and someone better stand up for what he was talking about. If these violent peace protestors are not representative of the movement, then why are the speakers that they bring in for the rallies just as violent?

That sign has my blood boiling. I damned sure hope not to see the spitting on troops coming home like we did when I was a (very) young child.

I was already fearing that based on the nastiness of the protestors and now that sign... I'll be surprised if the traitors don't.

Sadly I work weekends and if I end up there it will be as security to prevent the peaceniks from getting their butts kicked.

I would rather be there as a protestor who obeys the laws of the land and expresses their opinion without infringing upon the freedoms of others.
