Hey guys, I have been reading some of the older posts regarding weaponlights for pistols with the integral rails. I know that most don't like them because you have to cover the area you are trying to illuminate with the muzzle of you pistol, but I would still like to get one.

What are your suggestions on a good quality light?
How does the Streamlight M3 compare to the Surefire models?
Has anyone used the Glock Tactical Light or the Springfield XML Light?

Thanks in advance...

I have both the Streamlight M3 and the new Surefire P200. The P200 is a much better light at double the cost. The light beam has no dead spots in the center. Everyone that tries both of them picks the surefire. I teach firearms force on force training using both handheld lights and weapon mounted lights. Weapon mounted light is much easier to use while shooting. There is a big problem with the gun covering something you can not affort to shoot if it is the only light you use.
