Hello....

Just getting into a more competitive nature where I'm wanting to be able to shoot the various guages at the skeet range. (Starting to get sh*t from fellow shooters for shooting my Ruger Red Label 12 guage while they shoot these 5-20 thousand dollar guns!!!haha) Looked around a bit at the various sites and gun shows for a 4 barrel set vs the sub guage tubes for a bargain but nothing jumped out... However, recently came across an Athena Master Skeet and have had little success on finding any info... Have seen Weatherby trashed a bit but it also seems to me that those that bad mouth it would not mind shooting one!!haha... The wood looks awesome and its got the briley subguages included (as it should as that's what makes it the "master skeet"?) and I was just curious if anyone has one or has shot one and has a comment or two to influence me??? My understanding is that the Athena Master Skeet is actually a Athena grade 4 with the subguages?? Any input would be greatly appreciated.. Kevin

The Weatherbys seem to be good value. One SC shooter I know has been using his Athena for close to 20 years, high round count, and says no probs.

Skeet shooters, like trap shooters, often switch guns just because they're looking for that last bird. If this hasn't been abused or used past tightness, it should be a decent shooter.

HTH....
