Weaver mounts

I have an H&R Excell Auto 5 12 ga. that I would like to mount a red dot scope on. It has a vented rib...but no weaver mount. Im assuming that the receiver has to be drilled and tapped. Any idea how much I might expect to pay to have a weaver mount installed?

Most local smiths charge $10 --> $15 per hole, around here.

Translation, about $40.00 to $60.00
Buy the steel Weaver mounts and steel rings, I have never had long term luck with conventional aluminum mounts and shotgun applications, they just don't tolerate the type of recoil forces a shotgun inflicts on a receiver mounted scope set-up.
