Here for your perusal is Webley .455 MK VI revolver serial number 160744 still in original .455 caliber accepted into service in 1915. Broad Arrow military property mark and inspection mark seen on rear of cylinder.

Sweet. It's getting harder to find unmolested, original caliber examples like yours. Nice find.

Mine is an Enfield, but otherwise identical. For those who might not know, the double broad arrow, with the points facing each other, is the method used to cancel the broad arrow (property mark) when a gun was sold out of government stores. It looks like an asterisk, and some folks wonder what it means.

I also have an Enfield Mk VI made in 1926. Mine has the Broad Arrow inside a D which I am told is Australian service.

These are cool and functional pieces. Since seeing Michael Collins I always wanted one, but all I have seen were those with cylinder shortened by few mm for clips and .45ACP ammo making them unsafe to use with commercial loads.
