I am on vaction with the family and I stopped at a local gunshop. They have a webley in 38s&w. That is all it says on the tag. I held it and the action was very good. It opens very well. I have been wanting one of these for awhile. I think it is either five or six inch barrel. The finish is pretty good everywhere except around the trigger guard and bottom of the frame (probley from holster wear). I was not sure what to look for to tell me what model it was. They had $350 I asked if they would go down and they said $300. I have been wanting one for awhile and this is the first one I have come across. What do you guys think??? Thanks everyone!

have you checked it as best as you can for condition of bore? and cylinder wobble thought i dont know if that would be a concern in a tip up. The main issue otherwise, how is it mechanically? index/timing right?

personally, i would grab it if i had the money.but im not the expert here. All i can say is "if the filet mignon tickles your fancy, get it"

The cyclinder was tight, but I don't think I really looked down the barrel. When I head back tomorrow I will check it out, thanks!

The 38 S&W models are in much demand. Is this a tanker model? (double action only). Note you cannot shoot 38 special in it, and will pay a premium for ammo. But it if you like it. Personally, I prefer tha large frame Webleys.

BTW, check and see if it is an actual Webley, or an Enfield. The Enfields are far more common and worth less than an authentic Webley made Mk IV.
