Have a mark IV in 38/200 (38 S&W) having an issue with the lock-up and timing does anyone have any experience with this revolver:confused:

If no one comes along with help try: www.enfield-rifles.com
Post in the Enfield pistol thread as Webley Mark IV Problems.
I got a lot of help for my Mark III there. A lot of those fellas post here as well.

I think more info will be needed to get any help on a timing problem.

First, what shape is the ratchet in? A worn ratchet will cause timing problems, as will a worn hand or worn bolt. Without more info, it would be hard to even make an educated guess.

Webley & Scott action is very much like the Colt Python.

Somewhat, but the Mk IV bolt system is very different from that of the Colt, and of course, the Webley is a break top with a different extractor system. Also, FWIW, the Mk IV lockwork is different in some respects from that of the Mk VI and older guns.
