Y'all mind if a stray pooch wanders in? I was "FF1090" on TFL (my old Navy ship) and I mostly lurked. Lot's of good info there, I expect y'all will keep the proud tradition going. And a very Merry Christmas to all! :cool:
 
Hello everyone, another TFL refugee here. This place looks great and already feels like home. Thanks Oleg and Co. for creating this forum.
 
Just checking out the new digs. It's like an old friend just moved to a new house. And I wasn't pressed ganged into helping move the furniture. :D

Hello and Congratulations!

I found out that "The New Board" was open for business, Sooo I mosied on over and signed up! Didn't get a chance yet to look it all over but what I've already seen looks pretty good!

I'd like to take this moment to say Thanks to the good folks that made this possible, Congratulations and Well Wishes on your new endeavor here ;) I hope your new board does well! :)

TFL is a GREAT resource for archived information, just as it was a great place to hang out.

THR has a lot of promise as being TFL II, and I hope it will be as fun a place. Looks like it has all the capability to be! :)
 
If this is a beta, it looks damned good to me.

One small thing, though, since I expect that this place'll heat up quickly, and while I don't always comment, I do read...

How about the highlight function on read threads?

As one gets older, and runs three or four background tasks, the mind, or the parts that are still functional and connected, slowly wind down...

Hi, guys (guys in a non-sexist way, of course). I'm new to the forum (and to all forums). I was a lurker @ TFL and picked up mucho info from some of the posts (many of them from members of this forum). I was appalled to see the closure announcement and linked to this site from there. I'll be picking brains as the need arises, so expect to be hearing from me.

I beleive the general consensus over at TFL was that Shiner Bock was the unofficial "Official" beer.
Hope the same goes here, got a fridge full.:D
