Well, I've Got Some Bad News.

My cabinet sits of the ground on 2x4's. Think I'll pick up a golden rod or just coat the guns in wax.

My FIL bless his heart, used car wax on his rifles. He lived in south Florida. When he passed, I got several of his rifles including a very nice pre 64 Win Model 70 in 300 H&H. The condition of the rifles were very good. Not a speck of rust on them. Until then, I had never heard of using wax on a firearm. His gun safe was outside in a shed to boot.

Eezox well end the rust issues. Google it, many tests have been done and Eezox is the best rust preventive by far.
