I went to a local gun show today. I got 4 10 rd factory glock mags for $16 each new in the wrapper and a 17 rd non drop mag in great cond for $50. I also got a great 15 rd mag for my beretta for $35. The guy I bought the mags from was a lot cheaper than everyone else at the show and he still let me haggle him down a bit. :D

I also got some other goodies for my Glock.

I got the 3.5# connector and the extended slide lock and the take down tool. I also got a plug for the bottom of the grip.

I had absolutely no problem installing the connector. These guns are truly simple. The slide lock on the other hand.......... :uhoh: I soent a minute trying to install and concluded it was the wrong part. Turns out, if your glock is one of the newer ones with three takedown pins then I need the slide lock for the Glock 19

So I had to go allllll the way back down to the expo center and get the correct part. No harm no foul though.

Now I just need some good sights and I'll be plenty happy. :)

The last gun show I went a to a couple months back was basically all overpriced crap. And a few people that thought they had real gems. Example a Norinco paratrooper SKS in new condition for $499 or was it $599?

I did see a brand new Hungarian PJK-9HP for $220 with two 13 round mags. But by the time I got back to the table after looking around a bit more it was already sold. :fire:

basically all overpriced crap.

No kidding. The one here last weekend, the place smelled of 50 year old meldewed canvas.

Folks were peddeling used magazines for twice what they can be purchased new. They prey on the newbee...

I got ripped on a magazine at my last gunshow. I ended up paying $20 for an Officer's sized magazine because I impatiently wanted an extra to take to the range the next day. When I got home and checked around, I found that I can buy then for $10-$15 all day long.

Ohh yeah I also go Clear and present danger and sum of all fears for $4 each on DVD. widescreen and new :D

That sums it up pretty well. I had never been to this gun show before so I didn't know what to expect. Everything was overpriced. All the used guns were like rental guns they were so beat to piss. It was like the movie Uncommon Valor where they lose all their nice weapons and have to buy some absolute garbage on the black market for a few hundred. :uhoh:

Suprised that they would charge that kind of prices to get into a "flea market"

Geez, I remember the good ol' days when CA actually had quality gun shows to attend...I envy you guys :banghead:

10-Ring,

I remember the "Great Western" gun show up in Pomona back when I lived in CA (San Diego area). Boy was that a show. I'm not sure I ever saw all of it. 5,000 tables or more. Of course that was back before California was overtaken.

I also remember Woolworth's selling surplus rifles and Norino/Poly Tech AK's. The Norinco's went for $299, folding or regular stock.
