Now no dirty jokes....

I'm interested in getting some less lethal forms of defense for the home. And a pepperball gun in the hands of the wife is something she is more comfortable with than a Benelli M3.

Anyways, I don't think they are illegal for civilians to buy, as I don't see any laws preventing us from buying them. Only restrictions is from the manufacter wanting to sell them only to LE's (sort of like how Ranger ammo is "only" for LEs)

(Probably should move this to Non-Firearms Weapons)

PepperAmmo™ is slightly larger than the majority of paintballs on the market. This would mean that it could be used in some ordinary paintball markers with slight modifications.

:scrutiny: I'd stick to the Pepperball brand. It's .68 caliber standard, and works just fine in a GOOD paintball marker. No Wal-Mart specials, it'll just bust one in the uneven plastic barrel and ruin your day.

Pepperball brand can be had from a number of law enforcement supply places on the web, the same sorts that sell Ranger ammo. It's not cheap, expect to pay about $19 for a tube of 20, and I'd also highly recommend getting some of the much cheaper scented-powder practice balls.

This other brand also seems questionable in composition. Pepperballs are filled with pharmaceutical-grade capsaicin and are STRONG.

I have Pepperballs in an Armotech Zeus semiauto pistol and it works great. Has a rail, too. Any of the good Tippman paintball markers would be good, too.
