why are you against back ground checks?? i dont mind, or have any thing to hide.

they need to rephrase it to say 'private dealers', not 'unlicensed dealers'. The latter give it a criminal sound if you say it wrong.

1) A private sale, of private property, between two private citizens. Who cares what's being sold, if the other person is a criminal they'll get busted for crimes eventually. Why should the law abiding bear the cost (in both effort and money) of pursuing criminals?

2) Background checks are just another form of registration. So what's bad about registration? Do some historical reading about Germany in WWII (amongst others).

3) There are no provisions in the works to allow private citizens access to the NICS. Thus a potential "backdoor ban".

When you get denied because 1) there is a glitch in the paperwork, 2) someone with a similar name pops up on the radar, or 3) any other reason the gov't chooses, come back and talk with us.

I got denied once because I'm named after my father, who was the FFL running the check. The TICS operator thought it was my father doing the check on himself, and thought it would be funny to tell him that he'd been denied. He changed his tune quickly, but for a brief period, I was officially denied the ability to excercise my rights because some gov't flunkie was making a joke.
