How do I confirm a local law. Some say Palm Beach County requires an individual (new resident) must live here for 3 months before they can buy a hand gun. Some dealers said they never heard of that.

Liberty Guns on Military Trail between Okeechobee Blvd. and Belvedere Road in W.P B. small store ,good people.

I'm glad to see this post. I used to go to their old location on Belvedere. Very nice people. I went up there yesterday and it appeared to be closed down. I guess they just moved though.

There is nothing that I am aware of such a restriction.

You are required to have proof of FL residency (like in most any other state), with FL ID (driver's license).

I know that I, as a permanent resident (non citizen) has to provide per ATF req's need to, in addition, provide 3 months worth of proof of residency - ie utility bills, cc statement, etc. This does not apply to US citizens.

If any store states differently, it may be their own specific store policy, and not a fed, state or county law.

I ran into a situation like this at a Basspro down in Dania Beach. They refused to accept my CC statements as proof of residency and tried to tell me it was ATF requirements.
I took them on on this, proving that ATF requirements clearly indicated that CC statements are acceptable, and it eventually transpired (from Basspro Head Office) that it is a store policy. They would not sell me the firearm and they lost my business based on this policy. Another online dealer + local FFL got my business.
Their business, their policy, their loss

Liberty guns used to be PAR firearms and it was a good place with good prices. The new owners have higher prices. They charged me more than MSRP for a pistol I ordered from them. Yes, it was my own fault for thinking they would continue having good prices and not confirming the final price before ordering. I learned my lesson and have found other places to do business with.

Don't expect to get a warm welcome at Gator Gun, guns are overpriced and the range is costly and you have to use their overpriced cheap ammo. Try Liberty Guns, nice people. Again guns are overpriced.

Palm Beach Shooting Center...STAY AWAY...!!! Sorry for beating a dead horse.
Palm Beach Shooting Center is under new ownership. The range is clean and well lit. The showroom has been renovated....they have good inventory. Owner is also a Gunsmith....
They did a nice job fixing the place up. Seems like good people to deal with.
