Anyone have any information on a Western Auto Revelation 336 shotgun? Researching one for my brother-in-law. It's only stamped Revelation 336 and is a .410 single-shot. From http://gun-data.com/western_auto_revelation.html it references it as a Stevens 51 / Savage 951 manufacture. If I look on Numrich, the "Western Auto 336" they show (Stevens 58C) is definitely not the right thing and there is no "Revelation 336" on their menu. BiL doesn't see any standard oval date code which is standard for Savage/Stevens from the 50s-60s. It has a serial number, but from what I can determine, there's no year to be calculated from it.

Mostly only interested in honing in on year of manufacture. I know the gun isn't worth much beyond sentimental value from the family history.

Assuming it's a SS bolt- action??

The Western Auto Revelation Model 336 version is the Savage/Springfield Model 951.

Google that and see if it looks right??

Checking my saved references,
Numrich Arms, Gun Parts Corp., "STORE BRAND" to MANUFACTURER
Revelation, see Western Auto
Western Auto 336 = Springfield 951
