GEORGIA, GO DAWGS!
I just got a new, stiff, thick belt, and My rig rests so much more securely! If you have overlooked this simple cure to carrying more comfortably, I suggest that you look at your belt. That's a strategy, and a tactic!

Thye make all the difference for most carriers. Those without an adequate belt need to upgrade - you don't know what you're missing.

I said recently in another thread that a good belt was a life altering experience, Was I lying?

Has anyone ever used one of The Belt Man's "No Buckle" belts or something similar...??
I have to go through a metal detector several times a day at work and I like the idea of a good leather belt with no metal.
I'm using a taticool mesh belt with a plastic clip now :)

You know, El T,...

If everyone had a good belt and holster, we'd not have half the threads here on THR. You know, the one's beginning with "I'm looking for the smallest..."

5 out of 5 stretched/sagging department store belts agree!
I didn't realize the difference it makes until I got one.

Now where can I get a mean looking OWB holster for my P3AT...:p

I like the Wilderness "Instructor" belts for the stiffness and infinite adjustability. I always seem to be "in between" belt buckle holes on leather belts, as good (otherwise) as my Beltman is. If I order another Beltman it will be with the option of 7 holes 3/4-inch apart.

Cheap Belt

A shooting instructor of mine said some of his funniest memories are the students who show up with $1200 worth of gear attached to a $5 belt.

"Stuff ends up on the floor" is usually the result.

Well, I'm closer to my goal of eliminating pocket carry and ensuring everyone has a quality holster and quality belt.

A quality holster and a quality belt are two important factors in pocket carry. :)

What style did you go with? Those are nice looking belts!

Was that directed @ me?

If so, I got the 1 1/2" black double bullhide w/ Black square buckle. Got the plastic insert as well. Don't know if I'll need it, but what the heck.

Well, since I started it in this thread, I guess I'll end it here too.

My belt from the beltman arrived today. Right on time, 3 weeks from order date plus 3 days to ship.

This thing is amazing. Holding the buckle end with one hand, I can hold the entire belt horizontal; it is that rigid.

All the gear around my waist became pretty much weightless.

Another neat trick: you can pull your pants on with one hand as the stiffness of the belt lifts the other side as well. Neat!

I'm glad you are happy sir!

The best thing about the Belt Man's stuff is three years later, it is still good as new!

So how do you figure what thickness to get. I had bought a wilderness survival clone from cabellas- that was a mistake! The belt is good but the buckle does not hold.

So I want to buy a good belt but don't want to go to thin or too wide...

Thumbs up on Belt Man belts. Good stuff, I've had mine for three years after every day wearing it is still tip top.

Highly recommended and vast increase in comfort.

I have had excellent results with my nylon Galco. The infinite adjustability suits me very well.

I did get the internal stiffener. Not real sure I needed it. The belt is really stiff like I mentioned before. I suspect it will loosen up a bit with a little break in, but I don't know.

One thing that sucks, one of my custom made IWB holsters doesn't fit over this belt, by a smidge. I bet I can get someone to alter the holster for me though...

I have a belt from Texas gunslinger. It is a doubled 1-1/2 inch belt for
35 bucks at a gun show. After one year of everyday use it is still
as straight as an arrow and looks like new.
I am adding the link but it does not show 20% of what he actually
has he is just not best at updating his page.
