What a home Invader is.

No, actually it doesn't help very much at all.

Home invaders are human, just as rapists, murderers, bank robbers etc. are human. They're human in the sense that they are not dogs, cows, creatures from other planets etc. Being human does not make a home invader "one of us" unless "we" are criminals too. While there are a few criminals who are so infantile they really don't know right from wrong, in most cases criminality is an active choice made by people who DO know better, or else the criminality is a result of sociopathology or psychopathology severe enough that the individual concerned should not have been loose in public beyond the age of accountability.

Obviously YouTube is an open access service, but that doesn't mean everything that appears on YouTube is of interest or suitable for discussion here on ST&T. Usually I would just disappear a thread like this, but in this case I'd rather it stay here for a bit to serve as an object lesson.

Object lesson? There really are people out there who think the way the person shown here does, if such addlepated cogitative activities can accurately be referred to as 'thinking.' A good number of those people wear business attire and have important jobs, too. And they vote, sit on juries, etc.

Keep that in mind the next time you consider what could happen to you in the aftermath of a defensive shooting you might be involved with...

Ok, Lee, point taken, quite frankly that video, and the thought of that guy on a jury, scares me.

According to him, it's all OUR fault they are criminals to begin with.

the thought of that guy on a jury, scares me.

Go read the link at http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=593866 . One of the jurors - an attorney no less - didn't think that being attacked by three people and finding oneself about to be beaten into unconsciousness was sufficient reason to take recourse to a concealed weapon that the attackers would have likely soon discovered on their own and possibly used on the defender.

A friend of mine says: "It used to be they walked among us. Now, we walk among them." I'm beginning to believe him.

I absolutely believe it. Even in the circles I move in, my CCW permit is met with odd looks and confused questions.

In response to the OP's link, I took a few minutes to look around at the feller's other videos, and I believe "crackpot" is the technical term...but Lee is right, this type of thinking is not confined to the stereotypical weirdos.

This guy is pretty well known among most gun/civil rights forums. Yeah, crackpot is pretty accurate. He is pretty anti.

He either lives in or once lived in Detroit because he always makes references to places and streets there. That is my only intrest in his videos.

The ...cough...cough..."gentleman" in the video makes the same mistake made by countless other citizens regarding criminals: Assumption of intent.

By the time you determine that a "home invader" is out to kill you, or yours, rather than just wanting to take your flat screen T.V., it may be too late.

It's quite simple really. If an individual doesn't want to be shot by a "gun nut" while committing criminal acts, than don't commit criminal acts.

Did ya'all notice that adding comments is disabled for that video? Wonder why? I guess we are just supposed to let those human beings do whatever they want to us & our families since they don't know of any better way to get money. Somehow I don't think so.

I like this part: "Many gun nut retards, will claim he shouldnt have stole. Because the gun nut, seems to have less intelligence, than the guy who got fired from his flipping burgers job." (copied and pasted from video description)

Don't attempt to insult MY intelligence as a gun owner when YOU can't even form a complete sentence! God, I can type more words per minute than this guy can speak. Speaking slowly doesn't make you sound intelligent!

What is his point anyway? Is he speaking out against gun owners or the restaurant industry?

It all starts in kindergarden

They tell you both sides of a fight are equally wrong. somehow this attitude of limited value for kids who do silly thinks gets transferred to adults.

Well, that was slightly less moronic than Mr. Campbell's "Killing in Self-Defense is Unconstitutional".

There was no value for S&T in that video.

I could handle about 73 seconds of his rambling. Some things truly are a complete waste of time. And some people truly wasting valuable oxygen..........

a 'Social Good' ninny like this guy, it something to keep floating around the back of your head.

IMO, that was an extremely relevant video. The guy in that video explained why he is willing to murder you if he can. Folks that don't take their self-defense seriously comfort themselves with the idea that humans aren't evil, and nobody wants to kill them for their stuff. This guy is clarifying why he and like-minded individuals want your stuff, and why they feel that they deserve your stuff enough to kill you for it.

The guy was from California. The Supreme Court just ordered California to reduce its prison size. Options like building new jails or renting space in county jail or renting space out-of-state cost too much money.
California is about to release violent criminals back into society. At least some of those criminals will feel entitled to rob, steal, murder and home invade.

I think it's good that he's trying to remind us that criminals are people too, other than that, complete BS IMO.

"They use illegal drugs because they can't afford legal drugs"
Somehow I don't think he's talking about blood pressure meds...
What an ignoramus.
