Well I was at my LGS yesterday and what to my surprise do they point me towards? A small supply of used Ruger Speed Six revolvers they acquired. I was stunned to say the least. I am typically a semi type of guy, reloading and shooting IPSC. I had been on the look out for my Holy Grail of revolvers, the Colt Python, but who wants to make a house payment for one? So I told them to put one of the best ones back for me, because in the half an hour I was there, they sold 2 of the remaining ones. I am such a regular there they told me I could have one or all of them if I wanted. They had them marked at a reasonable $349. Well I get a pretty decent discount because of volume buying 
so I said just one for now. Well off I went home to research the Speed Six. Well I got informed pretty quick that these were not just goo quality pistols, but that they were exceptional, and built like tanks. I made up my mind pretty quick that I would be calling them first thing in the morning to reserve another one for my wife for her Valentines day present. Shes not real pro gun, but I thought worst case scenario, I would have two to myself. I call and ask if they have any left, and they tell me yes, one more, I told them put it back I'll be in after work to pick them up. Well needless to say, they arent safe queens by any means, but they are damn solid and tight in all aspects. I brought mine in to show my wife as I hid hers in my ammo closet. She was actually interested and wanted to handle it, she asked questions and was actually impressed with it. Well i told her she couldnt have mine, and she said well I'll just shoot yours, I said no, you'll shoot yours. She looked puzzled, and thats when I went down and brought hers up and handed her one of her own. She smiled and I thought for a moment I was going to get the whole "I dont need this speech" but was surprised when she asked why she got that one and not the other one. I laughed and said I picked my own and maybe next time she should come and pick her own out. Well without further ado...heres the eye candy...
