Our guns tend to shoot more accurately with cartridges that are loaded with bullets that weigh less than 158 grains. The 158 grain .38spl bullet in a lead round nose format is a very common load.
Don't get to shoot my 14-4 much, but when I do I really enjoy it. A tack driver with a decent DA trigger, and a superb SA pull (though I rarely shoot SA).
It is the only gun in my safe that doesn't really have a specific use, but I'll never part with it.
Does anyone know if you can find a replacement barrel for the 14-4? Mine has some horrible rust and pitting on it. It was aftermarket in the first place, and I'd like a more factory look. Anyone?
It is a fairly common model so I'd feel they are out there, some gunsmiths might have one, it's gonna be a gunsmith job to replace anyways. Gun parts Corp might have them.
