What AK should I get?

Lancaster Consulting AKs are NOT converted WASRS. Not even close...

And how is a synthetic stock a 'tacticlol' accessory? Some people like wood, some people like plastic. There is nothing tactical about it, unless you are one of those gun-grabbers that think black stocks are evil ;)

The most I'd do to an AKM would be to add a folding stock (if I could find any that weren't crap), and put a red-dot or holographic scope on it with the proper side-mounts.

IMO Lancasters fit and finish is what I expect when I purchase a rifle. I had a WASR and got rid of it almost as fast as I got it...I thought it was poorly built rattled a lot - loose mag well (no dimples) not so durable finish and thin flexy reciever. It went bang everytime I pulled the trigger though and could hit was I was aiming at. On the other had Lancasters are solid well built AKM's right up ther with the best! I opted for the 1.6mm reciever, scope rail, and have a couple of different breaks to try out. Mine it currenty being built but I did get to handle one at a fun show prior to ordering no comparison with the WASR :D

My
