Yes, 308 will require a differnt lower. 223, 6.8 and .50 Beowulf all take the standard lower. You can also get a .22lr conversion kit for the standard lower and the standard 223 upper. It has a funky magazine and a replacement bolt. Very cool.
AR's can be chambered in so many different calibers it would take us forever to go over which calibers are found chambered for an AR and which goes on which lower.
In short though, 243, 260, and 308 are a few that require something other than a AR15 lower...
Of the calibers you mentioned, they all work with AR15 lowers besides 308.
You can also "wedge", some of the beefier and more hard hitting calibers into the normal-sized AR lowers if you custom chamber the upper for those short magnum cartridges; but I hope you don't mind single loading, because good luck finding mags in those non-standard AR chamberings !!
Anything that has an OAL less than or equal to the 223 will work on a standard mil-spec lower. That said, Alexander Arms does make "50 Beowulf and 6.5 Grendel specific" lowers, but I think that just means that they are stamped "50 Beowulf" or "6.5 Grendel". But I may be wrong.
