I saw a S&W that I liked a while ago but I don't know what model it was. It was small/medium framed in SS and 9mm. It had a DA/SA trigger with a hammer. I am not sure if it was a single stack or a double stack.

What are all the small/medium framed SS 9mm that S&W made? If you have pics or a link to S&W guns like this, that would help out alot. Thanks.

It looked just like the 6906 but I thought it had an exposed hammer. Is there a gun that fits this description? It is the only S&W auto that peaks my interest right now.

I think I found out what gun it was that I saw and liked. It was the model 669. I also like the 6906 but it is DAO.

Boy! You guys really blew it! I though people here knew their guns. Guess you are not as cleaver as I thought.:neener:

Not to hijack this thread but, anyone have any experience/info/opinions on S&W's 5906TSW (all stainless steel) version? Thanks.

Well...don't know about the 1st and second generation S&W's. But I do know that my third generation 6906 is traditional DA/SA. :)

The 6906 is DA/SA with decocker/safety and a bobbed hammer. It is not striker fired. Bobbed to be snag free. Can manually cock it by pulling the trigger just enough to expose the hammer enough to get a grip on it. So yes...it does have second strike capapbility.
