They're not 1911s? The center (rusty) one looks like you can see the GI style grip safety below the beavertail. That and the forward parts of the frames sure look 1911-y.

Looking at the pic closely....they look like they might be double-stack frames. Para-Ord? You can see what would be part of the normal 1911 grip toward the top where single-stack frame would be flat there.

I see three similar but different frames.

The rusty one up front appears to me as stamped and riveted sheet metal segements; the black to the right is one piece; the gray to the left, I don't see clearly but may be like the one with black finish. The black one reminds me of my son's ParaOrdnance with double-stack mag well.

Thanks everyone. It does look like they are probably Para double stack. They are at a local auction soon, but it doesn't look like I need one. Thanks

I have worked on all of these frames while working for Les, in the Company's early years.

The frame on the left is a Caspian single stack 1911 frame. They are unique in that they have a cast-in plunger tube.

The rusty one is a Para frame. So is the Officer's Model next to it.

The Para's were tough to checker, I ran into a lot of pits. The Caspian's were real sweethearts.
